While the electrical equipments are getting more scarce and expensive in the developing countries, the need for power factor improvement by installing Capacitors is well understood by the users. We are pleased to offer an all New Rectangular Series of Power Factor Correction Capacitors with enhanced performance. It helps you to achieve better economy by selecting an application specific Capacitor type. The Rectangular Capacitor series is now available in three designs viz. C & S Normal Duty Capacitor for normal inductive linear loads. The Cylindrical Capacitors are self-healing, metalized polypropylene film Capacitor. The current-carrying AIZn metal layer is vapor-deposited onto one side of the film.

C & S Long Life (extra heavy duty) Capacitor for loads exhibiting some amount of non-linearity, presence of harmonics, medium size industries. C & S Super Heavy Duty Capacitor for non-linear arduous and fluctuating loads and systems containing higher degree of harmonics. The entire three-phase Capacitor is composed of three single-phase element stacks. The electrodes are connected by metal spraying on the face ends of the winding elements. The winding elements are encapsulated in a Cylindrical Aluminum case and hermetically sealed either by a press-rolled metal lid or plastic disk with fast-on terminals.

CLMD Construction:

• The CLMD capacitor consists of a number of wound elements made with a dielectric of metallized polypropylene fi lm. These dry windings are provided with a sequential disconnector ensuring that each element can be reliably and selectively disconnected from the circuit at the end of its life.
• The capacitor elements receive a treatment under vacuum in order to ensure perfect electrical characteristics. Each winding is placed in a plastic case and encapsulated in thermo-setting resin in order to obtain a perfectly sealed element.
• The elements are placed inside a sheet steel box and connected in such a way as to supply the single or three-phase power at the required voltage and frequency.
• The sheet steel box is fi lled with inorganic, inert and fi re proof granules in order to absorb the energy produced or to extinguish any fl ames in case of a possible defect at the end of an element’s life. The CLMD is also provided with thermal equalizers to ensure effective heat dissipation.

Description:
KLV and KLVD capacitors are designed for reactive power compensation of electrical networks and industrial plants. When required voltages are higher than rated voltage of individual capacitor, units are integrated into banks by means of series connection. Fusing is provided according to national requirements. Owing to high partial discharge inception voltage, capacitors are suitable for installation in networks with higher harmonics and transient voltages. Low temperature dependent capacitance change makes them particularly suitable for filter circuit installations.
